Old Mine Cut Earrings
"Old Mine" means "old mine."
This represents an older style of diamond cutting.
It is said to be the prototype of the now most famous brilliant cut.
It appeared in the 17th century

At first, the stones are cut into sawable or point-cut octahedrons.
Then it continues with a cut with a table surface.
By the time it reached the European nobility, the number of facets had increased so that it could shine more brightly in the lighting of the royal courts.
Single cut, Mazarin cut
And the Old Mine Cut was invented.

Its features include a small table surface and a square outer diameter with rounded corners.
The crown (the upper slanted part of the diamond) is thick
The culet (the sharp point of the diamond) is cut flat.
If you look through the table, you can see a round window in the center.

This time, I created earrings with an organic shape that fits snugly around the ear.
While brilliant shines white
Old mine cut has a calm brilliance that seems to radiate from within.
All of the old mine cuts we handle at Rouge are polished by hand.
Its slightly irregular shape gives it a unique and solemn beauty.

The slightly yellowish Old Mine and 18k gold color go well together.
It shines delicately like an antique on your ears.
Not only the beauty of the stone, but also its unique brilliance
